There is an issue with network drives that are set to be mapped on startup, where windows attempts to map them before the network has been initialized properly.

One way of fixing it is to give the computer a static IP address, this works most of the time because it causes the network to be ready faster, with my setup I can't do this because it seems to break some local dns things.

I'm testing:

• Press Win+R and type gpedit.msc to start Group Policy editor
• Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\System\Logon > Enable "Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon" (Test if this works)

Another option may be to map the network drives as the system rather than as a user.
